Wow, it's been awhile since i've been on the site...i almost forgot my log in ifno. Alena and I have really missed cavies and going to shows. I'm not sure if we're going to get into it again...but she and I have been talking about it.
We miss all our cavy friends! We hope you are all doing well.

Just last week I was very excited to find one of my sow's pregnant and then the caviary registration came in the mail and then...today, I sold my herd :( Alena and I are both very upset about it. We love our cavies very much but they are now happy at their new home. We will miss seeing all of you at shows.

I took Alena and my niece, Akela, to the Great Western Livestock show in Tulare, Ca, today. I purchased a sweet little american satin sow from Showtime Cavies and I also got the most adorable little holland lop buck. His name is Dodger and I love him! :)

Alena and I went to the Turlock, CA show. We entered the double open show. It was the first time we where in two shows at once. We sold Jolteon on February 07, 2005 so we only had Arcanine and Flareon to show today.

We also got to pick up the two American White sows that we purchased from Cavia Bella :) they are beautiful. Alena named them Eevee and Chikorita (pokemon names :)

Today we went to the Santa Barbara County Fair Benefit show in Santa Maria, California. My husband, Adam, and our 1 year old son, Jayden, also came. Both of our boars got BOV but they were the only ones in there variety and we showed our American Broken. He didnt win anything but he got some good remarks.
We all had a lot of fun. It was sunny and beautiful in Santa Maria and all in all it was a good trip :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR
This is an especially happy new year for us since we will be moving into our new house in a couple of weeks. It's a lot bigger and we will have a room just for our cavies :)
Once we get into our new home and get comfy, I plan on starting our breeding project.
I want to breed Flareon our White American Satin and also Arcanine our American Broken Dilute La/Wh. Both are boars so we will be searching for suitable sows

Alena and I went to the California Rabbit & Cavy show in Stockton, CA with my niece Akela (7-years-old). Alena showed Flareon and Jolteon in the open show.
Flareon:

Jolteon:
2nd Place.
It was a lot of fun! My niece, Akela, is interested in showing, but she wants to show rabbits since she won a cute little castor mini rex in the raffle.

Alena and I went to the Channel Island Cavy Breeders show in Ventura, CA. Alena showed Flareon and Jolteon in the youth show.

It was a lot of fun and exciting to win ribbons, but I think Alena was more excited about the five beanie babies she won in the raffle :) We also got Arcanine today, he's an American broken-white/lemon agouti.

Alena and I went to the Golden State Cavy Breeders show in Watsonville, CA (my mom went with us for "cavy purchasing support). We went to check out the show and to find two "show quality" cavies for Alena. We got two American Satins, one white the other himalayan. Alena named them Flareon (white), and Jolteon (himi). Flareon and Jolteon are pokemon names :)
